| Happy New Year! Last Saturday I was in garage where I usually fix my car. The manager and most of staff there are from our Armenian compatriots who have been working there for years. During these many years they have worked and behaved with people in a way that if you want them to fix your car, you should be there at 6 o'clock in the morning to get your job done on time. That day, I felt there was a kind of excitement and enthusiasm among all the people working there. They were working hard to fix car one after another as fast as they could. From the dialogues of the manager on the phone I understood they be closed that day at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. My job would not take so long, so I was curious why they are going to close so soon that day. But another customer whose job would take time and had to come the next day asked: "Sir, why you are going to close so soon?!" and the manager answered: "Today is our feast!" Then I was reminded that day was 31st of December and our Christian compatriots had their New Year ceremony. I admired them for their nice enthusiasm and also their job faithfulness that even on their most important yearly ceremony; they would not suspend the people's work completely. Here I should congratulate the beginning of new Christian year of 2012 to all our Christian readers in and out of Iran, particularly our Armenian compatriots on behalf of myself and all other my colleagues at Iranian Oral History Website. We wish you all a happy and full-of-success year. Economists predict 2012 to be a hard year, considering the world's economic affairs. We may observe some other social crisis such Arab Spring as an aftermath of economic matter in other parts of the world. However, if we put these worrisome news in a corner, 2012 is an important year for the world's oral history because of holing XVII International Oral History Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This conference by the title of "The Challenges of Oral History in the 21st Century: Diversity! , Inequa lity and Identity Construction", is another step forward to get the oral historians around the world closer to each other and may open new horizons for this methodology. We wish success for Mr. Pablo Pozzi (PhD), President of the Oral History Association of the Argentinean Republic and Head of Executive Committee of this conference and all his colleagues to hold this conference successfully. We hope the outcomes of this conference to be useful for all oral historians. Mohammad Karimi | | | | The Beginning History of Freemasonry in Iran
